Stenum Success story

It's taken me 3 years to say this, but I think I'm a success. I'm not pain free but the pain feels like arthritis in my facet joints, not in the disk itself. (I have arthritis in my hands and feet too.) No more periformis, distraction or sciatica. (Knock on wood). Today I walked 3 miles and am planning a ski trip this winter (no black diamonds!). Still uncomfortable when sitting or standing for long periods, but it's now it's discomfort, not pain. Congratulations Mark on I-Spine. You're the first person I read about having this surgery and your success and encouragement helped me on my journey.

Jenny,
Fantastic, so glad to hear how well it's worked out for you. If I recall correctly you had your surgery in August 2003 just a week or two before I had mine.

Take care, oh, and stay away from the moguls!
Jim

Jenny, great to see you here!!!!

I have a tip for you. The secret to skiing black diamonds is to go to the right ski area. My 'black diamonds' at Badger Pass would barely be an intermediate run at Mammoth or in Tahoe.

I'm so happy to hear that you are still doing well... keep it up.... enjoy the success and pop in once in a while to let us know how you are doing. (Especially after the skiing!)

Mark
