Default Non surgical?

Hi everyone! Who has a bulge or tear in cervical area and not needed surgery? I'm trying to see what would warrant surgery? I have flare ups that last a week to three weeks but always go away? Could this heal itsself?

Default re bulge or tear in cervical area

Yes I have a bulge and have not had to have surgery. I did have a cervical MRI done twice when I was most symptomatic for things like numbness in hands and dropping things etc... that's been about 6 years ago.

I've not really had the same extent of painful symptoms or flareups that I was having back about that time or the degree of migraines either (which I think were more due to estrogen withdrawl/menopausal stuff).

Anyway my advice is to make sure that you are seen by someone that specializes in this area of medicine. I saw an orthopedic surgeon and neurosurgeon at the time regarding my MRI findings.

Good luck! Maria
