leg pain, cervical

As well as the now constant tingling/buzzing in my legs I've now also got an aching sort of pain in my legs - like my bones are sore for want of a better explanation.

Anyone else with cervical problems had this? Did surgery make it go away?

thanks,
Rob

Rob, what does lumbar MRI show?

Talk to Jeff Deal. He had leg symptoms improved with cervical ADR. Look at JackH on the GPN website. He also had leg symptoms improved with cervical ADR, but I believe that was strength loss, not pain. I'll send you his email address.

I have developed a kind of burning pain in the front of my right hip. All other symptoms are left-sided. Coincidentally, I recently had a bone density test and it doesn't appear to be the problem.

Cervical aDR did improve my leg pain

Rob,
Most definitely, the 2 level cervical ADR surgery I had exactly 6 weeks ago did improve my leg pain and neuroligical symptoms. Alot!
I'm still improving each week. I'm back to work full-time.
as soon as I got off of the gurney post-op, I could tell right away that the leg weakness I had in both legs was gone, and that my right leg felt 50% better than that morning. My left leg has some apparent nerve damage that has given me trouble for many years, due primarily to the fact that I went so long (14 years) before my lumbar ADR surgery, but the weird nerve problems and freaky twitches are gone in both legs, as is the feeling of "having my legs beaten with baseball bats" pain I have suffered with due to my cervical central canal stenosis and degenerated discs.
By the way, I never had bad cervical symtoms; I had some arm and neck problems, but certainly not bad enough to have ever seriously considered having cervical surgery. My problems were in my legs, feet, and overall nervous system.
God Bless,
Jeff

Jeff,

Thanks for the reply - it gives me cause for some optimism.

Mark - thanks - yeah I've had lumbar scan (and thoracic) - no problems there. Plus I get symptoms elsewhere that wouldn't be explained by just lumbar. And this progression of symptoms all started not long after my neck injury.

Jeff - just wanted to add that its great to hear that you've had such a good outcome so far (take it easy!), and thanks for sharing your experiences here, its really helpful.

cheers,
Rob
