Meet Dr. Zeegers in So. Cal, Sunday 11/19

I just found out today... Zeegers is coming to town.

If you haven't been to one of my gatherings, you should talk to someone who has. In addition to getting to ask one of the top spine surgeons in the world your questions, you'll meet all kinds of spine patients with all different kinds of surgeries.

I'll have a gathering in my house... Noon on Sunday We'll have lunch and drinks. We should get several hours with the good doc...

I'm in Fountain Valley off the 405 at Magnolia.

Send email confirming your slot. I may have to limit how many can come. When I get your email (address on the GPN site below) and I'll reply with directions.

This will be fun and informative. Lots of interesting news from Munich!

Mark, I would really like to come this time but it's my grandson's 3rd birthday party. I had to miss it last year but now that I'm able, I'm definitely going.

Last night, I spoke to someone who's coming down from Kodiak, Alaska. It was 15 degrees and blowing 50mph. He's pretty happy to be coming to So. Cal on Sunday...

... from www.weather.com:

Sun Nov 19, Sunny hi 78° / low 54°, relative humidity 10%, winds from the West Northwest 5mph

People coming from Florida... Alaska... Texax... Northern California so far... I did not expect such a great response with so little notice.

Hi Mark and all,

Thanks for letting me know about this wonderful opportunity. I can't wait to give Dr. Zeegers a big hug and thank him for giving me my life back. I a bit frazzled now as I just drove from MN to CA. My life is very busy and I'm loving being able to live it again. I still can't believe what I can do!

I'll be there Sunday! I don't know how many copies of the new book I have, but I'll bring several to give away. I can't wait to meet everyone! Mark better have some skydive videos for me to watch!

See you all on Sunday!

Melody

Mark-

Thanks so much for letting us know about this. Unfortunately work, kids, and the coastal difference prevent us from being there.

Please give Dr. Zeegers our warmest regards, and perhaps Melodie will give him an extra hug from us. Kevin is working, playing with the kids, keeping fit at the gym...all of which were impossible prior to his surgery.

We remain grateful for Dr. Zeegers' skill and compassion every day.

I'm really sorry we won't be there, though. It would be thrilling to see both Jeff and Melodie in person, after watching them both from afar through their decision-making and surgeries.

Have a wonderful time, everyone!

Hello from Kodiak Island,

I'm a new member who has had 2 back surgeries within the last 12 months. When I was initially advised that I needed back surgery in August of 2005, I did a lot of research on my own and spoke with many other back surgery patients. After collecting a lot of information, I chose a well known spinal surgeon in the lower 48.

My first surgery in October 2005; an Axialif procedure that fused my L6-S1 via placement of cage, rod and screws, failed due to the absorption of artificial donor bone material. My second surgery in June 2006 repaired my first surgery by placing real donor bone material and more rod and screws in my back via a 360 degree spinal fusion. Unfortunately, when my first surgery failed, two more disc's tore; the L3-L4 and L5-L6 discs.

After my second surgery, the surgeon who performed my first two surgeries refused to see me or treat me anymore. To make things worse, my Alaskan back doctor just wanted to send me to a pain clinic. I felt as if no one understood what I was going through and that "I had been pushed out of line and no one would let me back in line". Things only got worse. After no relief from the second surgery, I lost my law enforcement job as an Alaska State Trooper. Something that I had been so very happy with for the past 15 years. Being at my wits end and a loss of all hope, I recently found someone to help me "get back in line". Mark Mintzer has been the light to the end of a very dark tunnel.

Contacting Mark was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. Even though I saw Mark's web page early on in my research, I thought I could make the right decisions on my own. Well, things have changed and I can't express what doors have been opened for me since I first spoke with Mark just a few weeks ago.

On 10-10-06, my wife contacted Mark in a desperation to help me from my physical and mental pain. On 11-19-06, I get to meet Dr. Zeegers. On 11-20-06 I am going to meet Dr. Delamarter. I went from no one willing to treat me to meeting two of the greatest artificial disc doctors in the world.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. I look forward to meeting everyone on Sunday. Eric

Thanks everyone for making this event such a wonderful success. There were about 35 attendees from all over the US. The exchange of information was amazing. Zeegers wanted to try a new format where we discussed cases as a group, with all of us learning and asking questions.

I'm totally exhausted now and would like to post more... but tomorrow will be another killer day. I'll post more on Tuesday.

The get together with Dr. Zeegers was absolutely wonderful. Having already gotten to know the good doctor through the 3-level ADR surgery he performed on me in February 2005, I was really looking forward to seeing him again. His frankness, wisdom, sense of humor, and honest care for people is refreshingly evident to anyone who has spent time with him.
Yesterday was an amazing day (and evening). I think all of us who were there experienced a very, very special event.
In addition, it was great to catch up with Willie, and to meet so many awesome people, including Dancing Jack.
Thanks Mark, for putting this together (in record tome!), and thank you Dr. Zeegers for the absolutely awesome day.

Thank you Mark and Dr. Zeegers

This was a really long day, but extremely informative. I learned quite a bit listening to the good Dr. explain symptoms vs. diagnosis. I myself have been struggling with pain after a single level Charite at L5-S1, and Dr. Zeegers found a cyst on my right side facet joint at that level. So, back to Dr. Regan on Dec. 6th to discuss this issue. Without Dr. Zeegers pointing this out who knows how long this would have gone on!

Thank you again!

Dan :D
