Straubing Restaurant - Nordsee
 

On the Stadtplatz in Straubing at the end opposite the Theresientor, you’ll find a restaurant called Nordsee. This is a chain of fish stores / restaurants / snack bars. While you might call this fast food… it’s soooo much better than going to McDonalds. You’ll choose from a variety of fish and a selection of steam-table side dishes. Everything is fast, clean, and reasonably priced. Inexpensive and fast is often exactly what I’m looking for and when that comes in the form of fresh fish nicely prepared, all the better.

They did not have an English menu in the store, but I spoke to their quality control manager and she directed me to their website, (which does have an English menu.)

NORDSEE - "Best Seafood Experience"

That tells you something about them… they had a PhD in nutrition doing a quality control audit while I was there.
