Heat vs. Ice? Intuitively, it would seem that heat would increase the inflammation. Unless you are in the camp that believes that heat increases bloodflow, therefore increasing healing. It also makes you feel 'warm and loose', relaxing you.

I think the heat / ice question is best settled in one of 2 ways.

1. What does your doc say? You'll want to be compliant if she has strong feeling about which is better.

2. What works best for you. I know many people who swear by both... but I think I know more who prefer ice.

BTW, Dr. Kevin Pauza is a the Tx Spine and Joint Hospital in Tyler. He's involved in many new technologies that are quite promising.
