Wellman, Mark - Climbing Back

This book was given to me by Letteski (aka Paulette). I absolutely loved it for many reasons. I was a pretty serious climber before my car accident and I love the subject material. I know the equipment they are talking about, I know the feelings. This hit really close to home for me. I think that any climber or outdoors person will appreciate it. Aside from the adrenaline activities... this is just a great story of overcoming adversity. Opening a window into the mind of someone going through such an ordeal is very powerful. It's especially profound for someone who's been to the edge and back. Although my spinal hell was nothing like Mark Wellman's, I've had just a small taste of what he experienced. I found his book fascinating and tore through it in just a couple of days.

I also loved it because Paulette's picture is in the hardcover version. She was very close to the author during his recovery.
