i can't qoute it, but I've seen where it has said that you do...
I lost 1/2" from my last two discectomies also.

Herniated L4/L5 May 2004 (Bed ridden) Discsectemy June L4/L5 2004 Discssectemy L4/L5 January 2007 MRI May 5th - showed "moderate sizd protruding disk in the the left paracentral location at the L4-5 level which appears to a more porminent comparison to the prior examination" and "appears to impinge upon the exiting nerve root" May 11th Dr Apptment - Told that another Discsectemy could be done. Looking for Surgeon for second Opinion

I've lost two inches, and will be thrilled to get it back with five levels getting some major adjustments
 And just think about what that means to the height vs weight issue......I should finally be just right for my height  One more reason to look forward to all this!

DDD Herniated discs C4/5 & 5/6, L3/4, L4/5, L5/S1 Severe compression of spinal cord in two levels All conventional therapy exhausted, including spinal injections, PT, massage, etc. In appeal with Gov't Insurance for Out-of-country coverage for ADR hybrid surgery of above discs. Recently discovered that I am severely allergic to all common metals used in surgical hardware except for Titanium.

Got my height back and then some (1/4 of an inch over my regular height!!!). I have probably lost height due to L5/S1 but I will have to see. I think i will get measured two weeks before surgery by one of the docs. Runner

Yep, I gained a full inch after my 2 level ADR

44 Year Old, mom of 3 DDD - l4-s1- woke up Feb 2005 and couldn't walk Tried PT, Injections, Accupuncture, drugs, etc. 2 level Prodisc ADR L4-S1, Feb. 18, 2008 Dr. Bertagnoli - Straubing, Germany - SUCCESS - Now I struggle with Neck Pain likely c5-7 PT, injections, rhizotomy.......MRI and CT Myleo not consistent with pain symptoms, waiting that out, keeping my passport valid

I gained 1 1/2 inches, a little taller than my normal height.

Jess, they measured me when I went for my physical, and I was a half inch shorter than I've always maintained is my height (5'3.5", and at this height, that half an inch is important
). It affected me more than I would have imagined. I don't see myself as a 5'3" woman, I am 5'3.5" dang-it. I hope I get that half inch back.
