It is open enrollment for part D... be careful not jumping at the new Walmart/Humana program without comparing to others..

I compared my wife's meds and found that even thou Walmart/Humana program charged half the premium that she now pays...

BUT.....

Walmart/Humana has a very restrictive formula and variable co-pays... with her medications... her projected out of pocket costs - including premiums...

would be 20% -30% HIGHER with the Walmart-Humana program.

Your results will most likely be different...but .. it would appear that unless the only meds you take are their formulary ... your out of pocket could be substantial

I'm not using the Medicare part D coverage tho was considering utilizing it for my 89y.o. father however he gets most of his prescription coverage with the VA (Fla.) so I'm just keeping it like that for now as it seems pretty good.
