Default Can a nerve be stretched enough until it doesnt hurt...

After Disc replace a person my gain some height. I grew 7/8th of an inch, but have a constant pain in the calves. Which as the theory goes, is from a tight nerve. The pain in the calves and the hips is relative to the amount of exercise I do. The surgeon figures the pain comes from stretching the nerve with a long stride when one is running or skiing.

So is a nerve like an elastic, if you stretch it enough will it loose its elasticity and become more relaxed causing less pain? (the Dr point out that some of his patients after a few years the pain stops, or isnt as consistant.)

Could the reason be the nerves may be stretch to length? And if so, would an athlete "break in" the nerve ending sooner than a coach potatoe?

keep stretching those hamstring things will continue to improve. i am still seeing improving in my legs 1 1/2 yrs out and still getting better.
i took a good 13 months to really calm down.
keep walking and stretching those hamstrings all will work out.
