Judy,
You mentioned dilaudid - which I took for 6 months following my surgery and with which I was expressly prohibited from driving. Are you aware this is a narcotic and you should most definitely not get behind the wheel of a car?
Even after just a few months, I felt 'normal' but was told no. Perhaps this is something you should discuss with your doctor, just to be safe.
