What few doctors will tell you is that a discectomy, while providing relief, weakens the disc and creates excess pressure of the adjacent discs. If future surgeries are required, which occurs often, their chances for success are diminished. DDD can literally crawl up (or down) your spine. Should you then desire an adr, it's chance of success is also diminished since it's pain relieving effectiveness is best achieved on a virgin spine.

However, as stated previously, you should talk to Mark. He's really the goto guy.
