Default Signature files, thread titles, posting tips?

I have some suggestions that may help you to have more productive dialogs and save everyone some time on iSpine.

Signature files: After logging in, you'll see a link near the top left that says "user CP" This control panel will allow you to add a signature file that will be added at the bottom of every post. Please put a brief description of your history there. That way, when you post questions related to your situation, people reading it will know what you are talking about. I frequently want to answer questions, but unless I have the time to actually search your other posts and research your case, I may not know what surgery you are asking about. If your post ended with
---------------
joe schmoe
forklift accident 2002
discectomy L4-5 2004 relieved pain for 2 years
frontal labotomy 2005 not successful
ADR C3-S1 2007
then everyone reading every post would have a better frame of reference.

Thread titles: The more specific you make your thread titles, the more you'll enhance everyone's experience here. If you are looking for specific information you might not even look into a thread titled "A question for everyone," or "what do you think about this?" Instead if your thread was titled, "question about cervical myelopathy", or "what do you think about chiropractic adjustments after ADR?" - then everyone would have more information about the thread and they might not skip information that they may find important.

Just suggestions.... any other posting tips?

Default I want to but....

Mark, below is what I want to put in my signature but I keep getting a rejection message saying cannot exceed 500 characters. Thats why I gave up on it before . It wont let me post my basic history. It was frustrating trying to get passed the warning message no matter how hard I tried . SO I gave up at the time. Shall I leave out everything and only mention "2/26/09 3 level ADR with Dr B" ? Am I doing something wrong that this wont get accepted?

4/08- DDD at C5/6 & C6/7 & bulging discs w/ portrusion. Epidural Injections failed

7/08- Plasma disc decompression-significant relief obtained. Thought I was fixed

11/08- pain returned to almost pre surgical levels

1/09 -Disco w/ Dr Ziglar shows C5/6 & C6/7 painful-2 level ADR recommended

2/26/09 - Dr B said interop that my C4/C5 leaked dye into my spinal canal, disc in horrible condition. So he also replaced that one too. End result 3 level ADR Prodisc Nova with Dr Bertagnoli. 100% Success!!

Steve... your signature below has room for somewhere between 30 and 40 more characters.

The system software comes delivered with default parameters set based on typical system usage, optimizing performance etc. It may be possible for me to allow larger sig files, but I tend to trust the author's recommendations unless there is an overriding need to do something different.

Wow. I wonder why it tells me i'm over 500 when I try to post it. Maybe I need to delete the spacing or something and squeeze it in more tightly. I'll try again. Thx mark. : )

Steve... what I posted was actually in my sig file. When I originally pasted yours into my sig file, I got the same error message. I shortened it up to make it successful. You should be abel to just cut and paste it in.
