SULPHA? what else has sulpha in it? I wouldn't know if I was allergic. Do you think it matters whether or not a pill is "coated" or not? Just took some Motrin with a special "coating"--maybe it can relieve stomach irritation.

A reaction to a sulfa drug you probably won't to this drug either. Not saying for sure however you would probably know by this time in your life if you're allergic to sulfa or not. Maybe not tho likely. Good luck.

when indicated Celabrex is fairly easy on the stomach. I took it off and on over a year with my breakfast in the morning and no stomach problems. I was on 200 mg daily.

Celebrex working pretty good for me. Thanks! Insurance won't cover it, so I gotta fight for that. Original price for 10 day supply: $120! I had a coupon which dropped it to $100. Dr. needs to convince Aetna that there was no "cheaper" alternative. Hopefully 1. insurance will cover or 2. won't need to be on it for long. Doesn't bother my stomach at all, with or without food.

Isn't it amazing how or medical battles have become insurance battles.

celebrex is working well for you. I wished Vioxx hadn't begun to bother me re epigastric type of pressure/severe as it worked wonderfully for arthritic related pain and also to alleviate cramps (tho don't need anything for that anymore). Then it got pulled off the market.. then ?? did it come back on? I can't even remember as it's been so long since I last took it.

I think it take many years before generic will be available. i don't know how long it takes; may be 15 or so?

the big Pharm companies make TONS of $ before they're required to let their drug go generic. they justify it by saying the cost goes to fund the research and tests--double-blind placebo, peer-reviewed essays, etc., the "gold standard of Western medince". i have a love-hate relationship with these companies, as well as with the FDA. i once took a med that cost $500 per month! after it went generic, it only cost $25. gotta love our "death care" system!
