Default NSAIDS other than Advil?

Anyone take an NSAID, other than Advil, that does NOT hurt their stomach? I took it for 1.5 years long ago, and my stomach took a hit for sure. I've taken it off and on since then. BUT, as I'm only 2 weeks post-op, I'm taking over 15mg per day. It's been quite effective, but the stomach is starting to feel funky. I'm trying Aleve for the first time today. Tylenol has never helped: it's not an anti-inflam.

Good news, bad news....

Yes... there is an NSAID that is easy on the stomach.....

.... It's called Bextra and was removed from the market years ago!

I've been taking Celebrex for 5 years. So far, so good!

Default Celebrex or Steroid?

THanks guys. Celebrex requires a prescription. Steroids also require a prescription. BTW, Why are Steroids looked down upon (not the muscle-building kind)? They gave me 1 at the Beta Klinic and my nerve pain subsided within 1 hour.
Hey Mark, who should I see for a prescription? Coufal is super busy and I couldn't get in with him any time soon.
I guess I can try my PCP, but he's a bit of a jerk. I could also try my "brain Dr"--but pain management is not her forte.
I'd like to try the Celebrex if it's the least harmful to the stomach.

Default you can

Call/go see your PCP re a prescription esp.if the person knows your back history and surgical history. You can also call Dr.Coufal's office leaving a detailed message and see if he can call something into your local pharmacy. Hopefully you're not allergic to sulfa drugs as Celebrex has sulfa in it.

Default sulpha / coating?

SULPHA? what else has sulpha in it? I wouldn't know if I was allergic. Do you think it matters whether or not a pill is "coated" or not? Just took some Motrin with a special "coating"--maybe it can relieve stomach irritation.
