My ins co wouldn't cover the Lyrica either but I appealed stating that the alternative Neurontin caused too many side effects and Lyrica's were reportedly less. That's all it took. BTW, for me, Lyrica has the same side effects just to a lesser degree. I'm now in the process of trying to get off completely and substitute pain meds.
